Hi, I'm Dr. Rodino. I've spent my career at the intersection of healthcare, technology, and equity — driven by one question: how do we make great care more accessible to every family, no matter their circumstances? That question led me to a PhD in Industrial Organizational Psychology, where I spent years studying what actually motivates people and organizations to change - knowledge I now bring to every team I lead. As Director of Digital Care Strategy and Innovation, I get to put that knowledge into practice every day, leading teams and building virtual care models that reach thousands of pediatric patients across Texas. This portfolio is a look at that work - the strategies, research, and conversations that have shaped it, and the ones still ahead.

A bit more on my background:

I hold a PhD in Industrial-Organizational Psychology from Walden University and a Higher Education Teaching Certificate from Harvard University. I have also served on the Houston Christian University Advisory Committee, contributing to conversations around healthcare education, workforce development, and policy.

One of my greatest professional passions is virtual and digital health. In 2016, I launched Texas’ first Medical Board-approved virtual urgent care program at Children’s Health, helping establish a model for expanding access to pediatric care beyond the traditional clinical setting. Since then, my work has grown to include the development and expansion of a broader digital health ecosystem spanning more than 80 specialties and connecting thousands of pediatric patients with care across Texas.

Today, my work focuses on advancing virtual and digitally enabled models of care, evaluating value-based care strategies and return on investment, and identifying ways technology can improve access, outcomes, and the overall patient experience. I also speak nationally on virtual care, digital health strategy, healthcare innovation, and the thoughtful integration of emerging technologies into clinical care.

Throughout my career, I’ve been especially interested in what happens at the intersection of people, technology, and healthcare. My background in organizational psychology, digital health, education, research, and healthcare operations allows me to approach transformation from multiple perspectives—connecting evidence and strategy with the practical realities of implementing and sustaining change. That intersection continues to shape how I lead, research, teach, and think about the future of healthcare.
